Dressing up your girls

When it comes to dressing up your girls in your bridal party, you want to make sure they look good and feel good on your big day. You may love the strapless-style dress, but that may not flatter all of the body types in your bridal party – every girl is different, so why not embrace that? Here are some of the most flattering bridesmaid dress styles so your bffs can feel confident and beautiful:

A-line This is a popular choice for women – and it’s no surprise why. It flatters virtually every figure, enhancing all of your best features. It’s a simple and easy design that can suit any wedding style or theme. Long chiffon As far as floor-length bridesmaid gowns go, this one can’t be beat. It’s perfect for concealing a less-than-taut tummy and the long empire waist is not only comfortable, it looks elegant and glamorous. One-shoulder This gown is perfect if you’re looking for coverage, but it shows just enough skin. The neckline is flattering on most figures and the asymmetrical design looks stunning whether the dress is short or long. Halter A halter neckline can help give the illusion of height, which will help your bridesmaids to look a little longer and leaner standing up at that altar and dancing the night away. Wrap A dress that twists and ties in a number of ways allows your girls to wear the dress however they would like. This way, they can choose the style of dress that looks best on them, and you’ll still be content knowing that all the dresses are coordinated! Black This may not be a style, but this color is universally flattering on everyone – after all, black is slimming! Pair each dress with a bright bouquet that will really pop against their dress as they proceed down the aisle. Shift dress These types of dresses often have an eye-catching pattern to let your bridesmaids personality shine through. The style of the dress also helps to elongate their frame. Waist detail By attracting the eye to the waist with a sparkly sash or ribbon, you’re drawing the eye to the slimmest part of the figure right away. Matte fabrics While shiny material may look pretty on the hangar, it may only highlight certain figure flaws rather than hide them. Matte fabrics, however, do a great job at concealing. Choose from jersey, chiffon or matte satin for a flattering fabric everyone can rock. Which style dress will your bridesmaids be sporting? Share your thoughts with us!
