What We Saw at Bridal Fashion Week

Bridal fashion designers, both seasoned veterans and newcomers, showcased Fall and Winter 2019 collections during Bridal Fashion Week, which was Oct. 4-7 in New York. This year, designers departed from last season’s princess-inspired collections and embraced bold, intricately designed gowns that were as much art as bridal wear. On display were dramatic gowns with colorful floral details, bright shimmering embroidery and sultry, sheer paneled dresses.

Short and Sweet Fitting with the non-traditional theme of this year’s collections, include leg bearing dresses that were both modern and vintage inspired. These chic, shorter dresses, ranging from flirty minis to elegant tea-lengths, can be worn to pre-wedding events like a bridal shower or engagement party or even a casual ceremony.

Shimmering Confections When it comes to sparkle, the gowns created in this season’s collections featured a healthy dose of shimmer and shine. With collections, featuring dazzling creations adorned with intricate beading and sequin embellishments that created a megawatt beam of light in a sea of white gowns.

These are two of our favorites in a sea of floral explosions, nude hues and blast of color. Designer Nicky, incorporates these two features in her Fall Collection.
